Nothing is ever simple

She listened and agreed with my assumptions. She wants to do one medication at a time, so asked me if I would rather take anxiety meds that should leave me able to sleep, or take a sleeping pill to start. I told her I really, really wanted to get some sleep.
This is all well and good, in two weeks she’ll check on me and probably prescribe anxiety meds. I will get a referral for a therapist, so I’m glad that I don’t have to sort through so many to find a good one.
The only problem is the trazodone takes FOREVER to work, sometimes an hour and a half. Then I’m weak zombie the next day. I’m glad I can still wake up if Rufio needs me and I’m glad I’m not sleep-eating like I did when I was on ambien, but Ambien worked well for me. I knew when and how much to take, and I was never a zombie the next day.
I’m not sure what to do.
