Help! I’m surrounded by old people!

First, my poor mother came out with her computer that wouldn’t let her get on Amazon. She’s forgotten her password, so we had amazon send a code to her email. But mom couldn’t remember her email password either and didn’t have her iPhone with her. Before all that her computer is not an Apple or any brand I actually recognize and the computer really, really wanted to get actual Windows instead of whatever *bogus* program it is using. When I tried to go back to the start we got stuck on the page insisting we get windows. By that time she couldn’t think straight and wanted to go home. Her computer is at least 15 years old and probably so full up with junk, it’s a wonder she can even turn it on.
Oh yeah, it also has pieces falling out of it that she insists “don’t affect anything” 😵
Then there is The Colonel who is making some gifts from his woodshop. The spray paint he insisted is gold, is actually CHROME
Max, “no, it’s gold. Let’s just look at in better light”
Me, “ honey, it’s silver.”
“No, it’s gold. The cap is gold”
(the cap is silver)
Me, reading label and finally showing it to him, “honey it’s CHROME”
Him, “oh”
