Not to be overly dramatic, but yeah, he’s pretty sick. We thought he had hurt his bad leg again and when it didn’t seem to improve after watching him closely,,we went to see the vet. After palpitating his leg, the dr said she didn’t feel anything was broken or torn, but I insisted on an X-ray. I’m so glad I did. The foot, leg and hip are mostly fine, but they saw that his liver had moved!? and it is enlarged. So I insisted on a blood panel. A high normal for a dog is around 118, Rufio’s numbers are in the thousands. We will bring him back to the vets office on Tuesday so that a specialist can come in to do an ultrasound. I don’t know what happens after that. Meds, I hop and maybe food suggestions. He is miserable and has kept me up all night, even though we have him on Metacam and Tramadol.
