Meanwhile in Bumblefuck
Sep. 7th, 2018 01:53 pmEverything is a little bit much for my anxiety and misophonia. Yesterday was spent accompanying my mother to a neurological specialist. For over an hour and half, I sat with her while the specialist examined her. I’m always worried that I might overstep myself, but mom was very grateful. Her big overwhelming concern was what could possibly be done for her excessive drooling. Turns out she has the very beginnings of Parkinson’s. Very mild and instead of the Dr saying that there’s nothing to be done, as mom feared, she is going to get Botox injections into her salivary gland. This is wonderful new. The treatment easy, non-invasive and should work for months.
It was such a loooonnnggg day though and when we got home I was exhausted, partly because of being out all day and partly because Rufio spent the previous night going in and out and in and out chasing invisible monsters. I barely had time to breathe and Max’s church leader stopped by for a visit and brought his wife along. By this time I am t am totally overwhelmed and overstimulated. I know this woman not at all. But they didn’t stay too long, and since Max had a meeting to go to, I escaped to my nice dark room and watched, “The Quiet Place” It was pretty good although a bit over the top. I thought I might be able to sleep in a little bit this morning, but Max’s brother came by. After he left my sorta friend who is a veterinarian came over early to look at Rufio, who has a mass on his chest. She told me to monitor him and didn’t think it was anything to be concerned about *yet*
I am completely *peopled* out, and the airplanes are being obnoxious.
SIGH.
