Finally!

I am just not a fan of summer and was rapidly losing patience with it before the forest fires. We had over a week, maybe two of high heat, humidity, smoke and ash. I had an upper respiratory infection during all that fun and I was silently begging for some rain to wash all away. There was absolutely no rain forecast for all that time, but last night it rained for at least 5 hours. I went to bed around 1:00 a.m. and it was still raining. Thankfully summer is finally, finally losing its stranglehold on Oregon.

birthday surprise!

My birthday was a couple of weeks back, yes, but yesterday I got quite the surprise in my mailbox. I have no idea who sent these two bracelets to me, but I am so touched by their kindness and generosity. I have been struggling SO much. Thank you to whoever wanted to encourage me, this means the world to me.
