So this just happened

We had a little earthquake just a little bit ago. I wasn’t 100% sure it happened. It was only a 4.0 magnitude. I went to the other house to ask The Colonel if he felt it and he said, “no” so I turned to trusty google and sure enough. This is the 3rd earthquake I’ve been. My kids and I were in San Francisco at the time of the devestating 1989 quake. The Colonel was in Hawaii when it happened, lol. Then there was a tiny one when we lived in D.C. The Colonel was out of town for that one too 🤨

I can't even imagine how scary that must have been. We're very lucky over here in that regard.

Even little earthquakes are disturbing in a visceral way. They can also be very hard on infrastructure in areas not designed to handle them. It's not a big collapse usually. It's little cracks that show up months later.

>>The big earthquake in SF really did a number on my psyche.<<

:( Yeah, that happens.

>> It felt good to not be terrified for this latest one. Yay! for personal growth and the occasional therapy.<<

That is quite an accomplishment.

>> We do have a rather large crack in the basement floor, in my art room. It’s gotten a little bit longer since the quake.<<

Yikes.
