Both of my grandmothers lived in woodsy wilderness when I was a kid, so this book captured my imagination with the possibility of living all by myself in a tree. How wonderful! Of course , now I'm an old adult and the effort to get wood, build a fire, and keep it going all day (and night!) is wearing on me, lol.
